I had a head cold and my partner insisted I have one when I just did not feel like it.  Next time I just let him go for 20-30 minutes and he got the picture.  Head cold = no orgasm.  Also, with new partner when I was still feeling a little inhibited the first few times.  I wish I had not, because it made it harder to have a real one and he had this expectation that it was going to take 2 minutes every time, so it took a lot of work to get sex to be what I wanted after that.

I'd rather say that I am turned off, want to stop or need different stimulation. I even prefer to stop the sex and masturbate myself when my partner is not in the mood to assist me in reaching orgasm.

First I want to say that how often a person has an orgasm during sex depends on the defintion of sex in use. I define sex very broadly -- intercourse being only one type of sex. That's why I can say I orgasm every time I have sex -- it may not always be during intercourse, but it's always during sex, even if the sex is only with me. I used to fake it because I thought the penis and the vagina equalled an orgasm -- if the woman was lucky and the guy lasted long enough. I faked to get it over with, to please him, and mainly because that's what I learned from TV. I behaved in bed as I had been taught to do from all the images of "sex" on the TV and in the movies, none of which, in my day and even today to a certain extent, included images of women getting their clit licked or rubbed or vibrated at any time -- let alone during intercourse!
